By using asklepieon.com's safe and secure online consultation services you don't need to travel to a doctors office. You can visit your doctor face to face without leaving your home by using just your smartphone, laptop or tablet. 

We at asklepieon.com understand you may sometimes need medical consultations out of regular business hours. To accommodate as many of our patients as possible we are open from 9 Am until 9 PM, 7 days a week. We are even open on holidays.

Yes. It is estimated that about 75% of doctors visit does not require you to actually meet a doctor physically. Many medical problems can be resolved over the phone or by meeting a doctor virtually. Our services are not meant to replace your primary care physician. We work to support your medical needs and your relationship with your doctor. However, there may be times when we would recommend you to visit your primary care physician in person or help you find one and get you the help you need. 

We can diagnose and treat many non-emergency medical conditions such as cold and flu symptoms, pink eye, urinary tract infection, bronchitis, respiratory infection, sinus problems, ear infection, allergies, poison ivy and more!

If your medical condition requires a lab work, your Doctor at asklepieon.com can send in a referral electronically to a convenient testing facility of your choice. The doctors will be able to receive your lab results electronically and follow up with you to discuss your result. 

No, You do not need a medical insurance to see a doctor at asklepieon.com. We offer a flat rate of only $49 for the consultation. However, we do accept all major medical insurance. Many insurances cover virtual doctors visit. We always encourage you to check your benefits to see if virtual consultations are covered by your insurance. 

Ones your virtual appointment is complete,  the Doctor will be able to send in the prescription online to the pharmacy you selected during your profile creation. You can go to the pharmacy directly and pickup it up.

Yes, our doctors can refill prescriptions. They can refill any previously prescribed medication for up to 90 days. The refill prescription will be sent to the pharmacy you choose electronically.  

There is NO fee for registering with asklepieon.com. You only pay when you make an appointment and are seen by the doctor virtually. 

You can register as a new patient either by using a computer or a mobile device.

No; Asklepieon Virtual Health visits are always $49. There are no hidden fees or added charges.

If you have had a virtual visit and are still not feeling well, our virtual providers are happy to conduct a follow-up visit with you. If you are seen within 48 hours with the same chief complaint, you will not be charged for a new visit. If you are calling back outside of 48 hours or about a new chief complaint or condition, then you will be charged for your visit. For those follow-up visits that qualify for no charge, please phone the Patient Concierge at 1(630)-953-4500. If you create a visit through the website you will be required to enter a credit card number and you will be charged. You should not attempt to follow-up with the provider you saw directly. Provider Facetime and Skype accounts are not monitored and messages sent to these accounts will not be received. Please call the Patient Concierge for follow-up requests.

Virtual visits should not replace a relationship with a primary care provider (PCP). If you don't have a PCP, we can help you find one.

Commonly prescribed medications include:

  • Anti-nausea medications

  • Antibiotics, if indicated*

*We are committed to providing you the highest quality medical care. The virtual providers follow national healthcare guidelines for prescribing antibiotics. Antibiotics are only warranted in specific cases and can have side effects such as diarrhea, rash, or serious allergic reactions. Our providers only prescribe them when clinically appropriate. 

Asklepieon Virtual Health providers will not prescribe or refill controlled medications such as:

  • Narcotics (e.g. Oxycodone, Vicodin, Percocet, Codeine)
  • Anti-Anti-anxiety medications (e.g. Xanax, Valium, Ativan, Klonopin)
  • Stimulants (i.e, Adderall, Ritalin)

Asklepieon Virtual Health is not intended to deliver ongoing care or prescription refills. If you need a prescription refill, please speak with your primary care provider or specialist.

If virtual consultation is covered by your insurance, we will charge you for the Copay or Coinsurance. If you want to do a self Pay then it is a flat fee of $49per appointment. You only pay for your appointment. There is no hidden or additional fee beyond it.

Most insurance companies have medical reimbursement or medical claim forms available on their websites. Claims processes differ among insurers, so please contact your insurance company's claims department directly.
